Why participate?

The seminar "Legal Aspects in Healthcare" responds to the growing trend of lawsuits against doctors and healthcare providers. Experts already drew attention to this phenomenon in 2018 in the article "What will be the impact of lawsuits on the work of doctors?"

Litigation often has far-reaching consequences - it affects the psyche of a healthcare professional, their professional reputation and the trust of patients. Often, it is not just about serious misconduct - even a seemingly trivial situation can trigger a lawsuit if it is miscommunicated or not legally addressed.

"Any medical procedure performed without the patient's consent, or in violation of his or her consent, is considered unlawful - even if it was performed professionally and led to an improvement in the patient's health."
