Why Participate?

The seminar "Legal Aspects in Healthcare" responds to the growing trend of lawsuits against doctors and healthcare providers. As early as 2018, experts highlighted this phenomenon in the article "What Will Be the Impact of Lawsuits on Doctors' Work?"

Lawsuits often have far-reaching consequences – they affect the mental state of healthcare professionals, their professional reputation, and patient trust. Often, it is not just about serious errors – a lawsuit can also be triggered by seemingly trivial situations if they are miscommunicated or not legally addressed.

"Any medical procedure performed without the patient's consent, or contrary to their consent, is considered unlawful – even if it was performed correctly and led to an improvement in the patient's health condition."

Questions You Will Find Answers To:

  • What should healthcare professionals know from a legal perspective?

  • How to prevent risky situations in practice?

  • How to proceed in case of complications?

  • What legal protection tools are available for healthcare providers?

The event was created in collaboration with VÚC, the Medical Chamber, and experts in medical law. It will help you better prepare for the legal challenges that are becoming an increasingly common part of healthcare practice.
